I continue to need clarity and alignment in my life. Mother's health isn't improving, and Mother doesn't seem open to any other options other than me being around all the time. I've suggested other assistance, although I've also been in this position so long that it's probably difficult for Mother to see anyone else doing this. There also could be some reinforced dependency. I don't know if Mother needs me around or just is comfortable with the way things are and fears anything different. I want to be able to do activities outside Mother's care and need to work at some point for additional money, although Mother just seems to think that I need to get more pay for the constant care. I'm stuck between what Mother says and what is actually happening and don't know what to do.
